OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated March 30, 2010, and pursuant to
Section 5 of
Chapter 17 of the Acts of Nova Scotia, 1990, the Law Reform Commission Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint John L. McMullan of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia for a term of 3 years commencing June 1, 2010; (
b) determine the remuneration of John L. McMullan to be at the rate of $150.00 per day, plus reasonable expenses incurred; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against John L. McMullan and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity.
