B.C. Reg. 58/2026 , deposited April 16, 2026, under the SHORT - TERM RENTAL ACCOMMODATIONS ACT [section 38]. Order in Council 145/2026, approved and ordered April 16, 2026.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) effective June 1, 2026, the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 268/2023, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1, and

(

b) effective January 1, 2027, the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Regulation is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2.

Appendix 1

Schedule 1 of the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 268/2023, is amended in paragraph (

a) by adding the following:

City of Kelowna .

Schedule 2 is amended by striking out the following:

City of Kelowna .

Appendix 2

Section 11 (1) of the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 268/2023, is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

a) by striking out " March 31 " and substituting " the last day of February ", and

(

b) by repealing paragraph (b) (

i) and substituting the following:

(

i) starts on the following date:

(

A) in the case of a request described in

section 15 (1) (a) [removal from exempt land] of the Act, November 1 of the calendar year of the reference date;

(

B) in the case of a request described in

section 15 (1) (b) [addition to exempt land] of the Act, June 1 of the calendar year of the reference date, and .
