OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister assigned the supervision of the administration of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation dated November 15, 2001, and pursuant to clause 18(1)(
a) of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, and to subsections 7(1), (4) and (5) and 7C(1) of
Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Liquor Control Act, as amended by
Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2000 and
Chapter 4 of the Acts of 2001, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointments of the following persons as the Interim Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation made through Order in Council 2001-372, as of December 1, 2001: Kevin McNamara Greg Beaulieu Vicki Harnish Bill Hogg Doug Keefe Ed Cramm Christine McCulloch Michele McKenzie (
b) effective December 1, 2001, confirm the appointment of Bruce Rogers as Acting President of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation and as a non-voting member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation for such period of time as he occupies the position of Acting President; (
c) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, each for a term of office of two years commencing December 1, 2001: Brian W. Butler of Fall River, Halifax Regional Municipality; Robert Curley of New Glasgow, Pictou County; (
d) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, each for a term of office of three years commencing December 1, 2001: James G. MacLean of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Paula Minnikin of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (
e) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, each for a term of office of four years commencing December 1, 2001: Barry J. Eisenhauer of R.R.#1 Inverness, Inverness County; William Pyle of Digby, Digby County; (
f) appoint Peter McCreath of Hubbards, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, and as a member of the Board for a term of office of five years commencing December 1, 2001; and (
g) appoint Michele McKenzie, Deputy Minister, Department of Tourism and Culture, as the deputy minister appointed from time to time as a non-voting member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, commencing December 1, 2001.
