B.C. Reg. 27/2006, deposited February 21, 2006, pursuant to the HOTEL ROOM TAX ACT [Section 43]. Order in Council 91/2006, approved and ordered February 21, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective February 22, 2006, the Hotel Room Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 88/71, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 2.2 (1) of the Hotel Room Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 88/71, is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

g) by striking out "$20" and substituting "$30", and by striking out "$140" and substituting "$210", and

(

b) in paragraph (

m) by striking out "2 months" and substituting "one month".

Transitional

2 Despite

section 1 of this Schedule,

(

a) section 2.2 (1) (

m) of the Hotel Room Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 88/71, as it read before the coming into force of

section 1 of this Schedule, continues to apply to accommodation that ends before February 22, 2006, and

(

b) section 2.2 (1) (

m) of the Hotel Room Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 88/71, as it reads after the coming into force of

section 1 of this Schedule, applies to accommodation that ends on or after February 22, 2006.
