OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Workforce Development dated December 8, 2009, and pursuant to subsections 16(1), (2), (3) and (4),
Section 17 and subsections 94(1), (2) and (3) of
Chapter 475 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia,1989, the Trade Union Act, and subsection 18(1) of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Susan Ashley of Wolfville, Kings County, as Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel for a term of four (4) years commencing January 19, 2010; (
b) fix Susan Ashley's remuneration in the aggregate following amounts for her services both as Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and alternate Vice- Chair of the Construction Industry Panel: (i)\x09an annual $15,000 honorarium payable for each of the four (4) years of the term; and (ii)\x09$300 per day for each day she necessarily attends the business as Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board or alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by her in the discharge of her duties. (
c) appoint W. Augustus Richardson, Q.C., of Halifax Regional Municipality as an alternate Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and an alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel for a term of three (3) years commencing January 19, 2010; (
d) fix W.
Augustus Richardson's remuneration in the aggregate following amounts for his services both as alternate Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel: (i)\x09an annual $10,000 honorarium payable for each of the three (3) years of the term; and (ii)\x09$300 per day for each day he necessarily attends the business as alternate Vice-Chair of either the Labour Relations Board or the Construction Industry Panel, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by him in the discharge of his duties. (e)\x09appoint Eric Slone of Ferguson's Cove, Halifax Regional Municipality, as an alternate Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and an alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel for a term of three (3) years commencing January 19, 2010; and (
f) fix Eric Slone's remuneration in the aggregate following amounts for his services both as alternate Vice-Chair of the Labour Relations Board and alternate Vice-Chair of the Construction Industry Panel: (i)\x09an annual $10,000 honorarium payable for each of the three (3) years of the term; and (ii)\x09$300 per day for each day he necessarily attends the business as alternate Vice-Chair of either the Labour Relations Board or the Construction Industry Panel, in addition to actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by him in the discharge of his duties.
