chapter R-5.05 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2002, is amended by adding after

section the following: 1(1) La

Loi sur les régies régionales de la santé, cha- pitre R-5.05 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 2002, est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’arti- cle 13 : Designation of university hospital centres Désignation de centres hospitaliers universitaires 13.1 Upon application by a regional health authority, the Minister may designate hospitals as university hospital centres or affiliated university hospital centres. 13.1 À la demande d’une régie régionale de la santé, le Ministre peut accorder aux hôpitaux la désignation de cen- tre hospitalier universitaire ou de centre hospitalier affilié universitaire. 1(2) The Act is amended by adding after

section the following: 1(2) La Loi est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’article 18 : 1 Language and health services Langue et services de santé 18.1(1) Regional Health Authority A/Régie régionale de la santé A shall operate in French and Regional Health Authority B/Régie régionale de la santé B shall operate in English. 18.1(1) La Régie régionale de la santé A/Regional Health Authority A fonctionne en français et la Régie ré- gionale de la santé B/Regional Health Authority B fonc- tionne en anglais. 18.1(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a regional health authority shall 18.1(2) Par dérogation au paragraphe (1), les régies ré- gionales de la santé : (

a) respect the language of daily operations of the fa- cilities under its responsibility, and

a) respectent la langue dans laquelle fonctionnent ha- bituellement les établissements qui relèvent d’elles; (

b) provide health services to members of the public in the official language of their choice through the re- gional health authority’s network of health establish- ments, facilities and programs.

Section of the Act is amended 1(3) L’article de la Loi est modifié : (

a) in paragraph (1)(

a) by striking out “shall be re- flective of the linguistic community served and”;

a) à l’alinéa (1)

a) par la suppression de « être le re- flet de la communauté linguistique qu’elle dessert et »; (

b) by repealing subsection (8);

b) par l’abrogation du paragraphe (8); (

c) by repealing subsection (9) and substituting the following:

Section of the New Brunswick Health Council Act,

chapter N-5.105 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2008, is amended L’article de la Loi créant le Conseil du Nouveau- Brunswick en matière de santé,

chapitre N- 5.105 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 2008, est modifié (

a) in paragraph (

h) of the English version by strik- ing out “and” at the end of the paragraph;

a) à l’alinéa h ) de la version anglaise par la sup- pression de « and » à la fin de l’alinéa; (

b) by adding after paragraph (

h) the following:

b) par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’alinéa h) : (h.1) to take into account the particular needs of the two official linguistic communities in the exercise of the activities referred to in paragraphs (
