OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated February 11, 2026, and pursuant to

Section 5 of

Chapter 21 of the Acts of 1990, the Public Prosecutions Act , and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Eric Ralph Woodburn, K.C. as Director of Public Prosecutions for a term beginning February 24, 2026 and ending November 22, 2030, having previously served as Acting Director of Public Prosecutions since November 23, 2023; (

b) designate Eric Ralph Woodburn, K.C. as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

c) fix the salary of Eric Ralph Woodburn, K.C. at the level of compensation set out in the Public Prosecutions Act , as may be amended; and (

d) direct that benefits and other terms and conditions of the appointment of Eric Ralph Woodburn, K.C. be outlined by contract.
