In general terms, the purpose of Development Regulations Amendment No. 31, 2003 is to revise the regulations to increase the height of residences from 8 meters to 10 meters to accommodate a two story residence with a standard gable roof and full basement.

The purpose of Amendmen t No. 32 modifies two development standards respecting accessory buildings as follows: 1. by increasing the allowable size of accessory buildings from 7% of the total lot size to 8%, up to a maximum size of 1,000 square feet in R1, R2, R3 and R4 zones and with no maximum size in R5 and Rural zones. and, 2. by reducing the minimum distance between accessory buildings and residences in the same zones from 3 meters to 2.45 meters to accommodate accessory buildings on smaller lots.
