An Act to Amend the University of New Brunswick Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, en- acts as follows: 1 Subsection 21(1) of the University of New Brunswick Act,

chapter of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1984, is amended by striking out “Vice-President (Research and International Co- operation)” and substituting “Vice-President (Re- search)”. 2 Paragraph 23(1)(

c) of the Act is amended by striking out “Vice-President (Research and Inter- national Cooperation)” and substituting “Vice- President (Research)”. 3

Section of the Act is amended (

a) in subsection (1) (

i) in paragraph (

b) by striking out “Vice- President (Research and International Co- operation)” and substituting “Vice-President (Research)”; PROJET DE LOI Loi modifiant la

i) à l’alinéa b), par la suppression de « vice-recteur aux recherches et à la coopé- ration internationale » et son remplacement par « vice-recteur à la recherche »; 2 Projet de loi Loi modifiant la

c) the fol- lowing: (c.1) the Dean of Renaissance College; (

b) in subsection (2) (

i) in paragraph (

b) by striking out “Vice- President (Research and International Co- operation)” and substituting “Vice-President (Research)”; (ii) by adding after paragraph (

b) the fol- lowing: (b.1) the Associate Vice-President (Saint John); (iii) by adding after paragraph (

d) the fol- lowing: (d.1) the Director of Student Life and Support Services (Saint John); 4 Subsection 35(1) of the Act is repealed and the following is substituted: 35(1) There shall be a Board of Deans and the Board shall consist of the President, the Vice- President (Academic), the Vice-President (Saint John), the Vice-President (Research), the Dean of Renaissance College and the Deans of the Faculties and of the Schools of the University. 5 Subsection 64(3) of the Act is amended (

a) in the portion preceding paragraph (

a) by striking out “Vice-President (Research and In- ternational Cooperation)” and substituting “Vice-President (Research)”; (

b) in paragraph (

a) by striking out “Univer- sity research and international cooperation” and substituting “University research”; (ii) par l’adjonction, après l’alinéa c), de ce qui suit : c.1) le doyen de Renaissance College;

b) au paragraphe (2) (

i) à l’alinéa b), par la suppression de « vice-recteur aux recherches et à la coopé- ration internationale » et son remplacement par « vice-recteur à la recherche »; (ii) par l’adjonction, après l’alinéa b), de ce qui suit : b.1) le vice-recteur adjoint de Saint-Jean; (iii) par l’adjonction, après l’alinéa d), de ce qui suit : d.1) le directeur de la vie étudiante et des ser- vices aux étudiants et étudiantes de Saint-Jean; 4 Le paragraphe 35(1) de la Loi est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 35(1) Est constitué un conseil des doyens, qui se compose du recteur, du vice-recteur à l’enseigne- ment, du vice-recteur à Saint-Jean, du vice-recteur à la recherche, du doyen de Renaissance College et des doyens des facultés et écoles de l’Université. 5 Le paragraphe 64(3) de la Loi est modifié

a) au passage qui précède l’alinéa a), par la suppression de « vice-recteur aux recherches et à la coopération internationale » et son rempla- cement par « vice-recteur à la recherche »;

b) à l’alinéa a), par la suppression de « recteur du développement des recherches et de la coopération internationale de l’Université » et son remplacement par « recteur du développement de la recherche de l’Université »; 3

c) by repealing paragraph (

b) and substitut- ing the following: (

b) be responsible to the President for Univer- sity relations with governments and industrial or- ganizations concerning research development and funding; (

d) by repealing paragraph (c); (

e) in paragraph (

d) of the English version by striking out “Vice-President (Research and In- ternational Cooperation)” and substituting “Vice-President (Research)”. 6 Subsection 85(4) of the Act is amended by striking out “paragraphs 30(1)(

d) to (f)” and sub- stituting “paragraphs 30(1)(c.1) and (

d) to (f)”.

c) par l’abrogation de l’alinéa b) et son rem- placement par ce qui suit :
