Order in Council 641/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council approved the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017 by Order in Council 1024/2017;

And

Whereas Proposed Amendment 1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017 was released on January 15, 2019 for consultation with interested parties, municipalities and Indigenous communities;

And

Whereas the Minister conferred and considered the submissions and recommendations on Proposed Amendment 1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017 and has complied with all the requirements of the Act and Ontario Regulation 520/10, made under the Act, regarding the preparation, consultation and modification of Proposed Amendment 1 to the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017;

And

Whereas the Minister has decided to recommend proceeding with the amendment by revoking the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017 and replacing it with the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe 2019;

And

Whereas the Minister, under subsection 7(5) of the Act, recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council approve the attached proposed Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe 2019;

Therefore the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017 is hereby revoked under subsection 7(7) of the Act effective May 16, 2019 and the attached Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe 2019 is hereby approved under subsection 7(6) of the Act, to take effect on May 16, 2019.
