OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated January 6, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Collette Robert of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) and Afolake Awoyiga of Halifax Regional Municipality (Hammonds Plains) as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, both for a term of three (3) years commencing February 28, 2023; (

b) appoint Dr. Rohini Bannerjee of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Veronica Merryfield of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Grand Mira North), Alyssa Blais of Cornwallis Park, Annapolis County, Betty MacDonald of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Brittany Carter of Halifax Regional Municipality (Fall River), Diana Brothers of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford), and Julia Cecchetto of Ashdale, Hants County, as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, each for a term of three (3) years commencing February 28, 2023; and (

c) order that Collette Robert, Afolake Awoyiga, Dr. Rohini Bannerjee, Veronica Merryfield, Alyssa Blais, Betty MacDonald, Brittany Carter, Diana Brothers, and Julia Cecchetto each be remunerated for their services in the amount of $100.00 per day, and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as members provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
