CHAPTER

An Act to amend The

Interpretation Act [Assented to March 31, 1954] Rev. stat. c.1, s.16 amended 1(1) Subsection (1) of

section of The

Interpretation Act is amended by striking out the word “and” following clause (

c) and by inserting after clause (

c) the following clause: “(c-

A) of appointing, either before the appointment of a public officer or functionary or while there is a vacancy in the office, another to act in the stead of the public officer or functionary both before the appointment or during the vacancy and after the appointment has been made or the vacancy filled; and”. (2) Subsection (1) of
