Order in Council 1432/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 1718/2019, dated November 28, 2019, the position of Community Opportunities Advocate, known as the Advocate for Community Opportunities (“the Advocate”), was established, and by Order in Council 909/2022, dated April 1, 2022, the position was extended for a period ending no later than November 15, 2022;

And

whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1431/2022, dated November 3, 2022, the establishment of the Advocate’s position was further extended for a period ending no later than November 15, 2024;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative power of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of the advisors who serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities:

Effective November 16, 2022, the following remuneration is determined:

The Advocate shall be compensated at the rate of $500.00 per diem up to a maximum of $72,000 per year pro-rated accordingly in respect of the term of the appointment;

The Advocate shall be eligible for reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out the duties of the Advocate in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

And further , Order in Council 1719/2019, dated November 28, 2019, as amended by Order in Council 910/2022, dated April 1, 2022, is revoked effective November 16, 2022.
