OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated April 15, 2024, and pursuant to

Section 5B of

Chapter 9 of the Acts of 2012, the Maritime Link Act , and

Section 7 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act, is pleased to approve the expropriation by NSP Maritime Link Incorporated, being the approved applicant under the Maritime Link Act , of an easement near Portage, Cape Breton County, being more particularly described as Utility Easement Parcels 351-8, 351-8-A, 144-UE-A, 144-UE-B, 144-UE-C, 144-UE-D, 145-UE-A, 145-UE-B, 145-UE-C, 145-UE-D, 146-UE-A, 146-UE-B, 146-UE-C, and 146-UE-D in

Schedule “A” and shown on the plan attached as

Schedule “B”, and the rights of which easement are substantially in the form as set out in

Schedule “C”, which Schedules are attached to and form part of the Report and Recommendation, the expropriation being necessary and useful for the purposes of the Maritime Link Project.
