Savary Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 74-1374 (December 19, 1974), N.S. Reg. 129/74

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 26th day of November, A.D., 1974, pursuant to the provisions of

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased

(

a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water, owned by

Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, and situate at or near

Plympton, in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial

Park, said area of land being included within the boundaries of the lands

described in

Schedule “A” and shown outlined on the Plan of Survey marked

Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and

recommendation, and

(

b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Savary Provincial

Park”.

Savary Provincial Park

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate lying and being at or near Plympton, County

of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia as the same is shown on Plan E-5-34, recorded in the Crown

Land Registry office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, and being more particularly

described as follows:

Beginning at a Crown Land Iron Post (C.L.I.P.) situate on the northwestern boundary of

Highway No. 1 and the most southerly corner of lands now or formerly owned by L.H. Wright;

Thence south fifty-five degrees six minutes west (S 55° 06'

W) along the northwestern

boundary of said Highway No. 1 distant three hundred ten decimal thirteen (310.13) feet to a

C.L.I.P. set on the most easterly corner of lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero;

Thence north thirty-six degrees twenty-seven minutes west (N 36° 27'

W) along the

northeastern boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant two hundred

five decimal zero (205.0) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence south fifty-five degrees five minutes west (S 55° 05'

W) along the northwestern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant two hundred ninety-one

decimal seventy-two (291.72) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence south thirty-six degrees thirty-seven minutes east (S 36° 37'

E) along the southwestern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant two hundred five decimal

zero (205.0) feet to a C.L.I.P. set on the northwestern boundary of said Highway No. 1;

Thence south fifty-five degrees six minutes west (S 55° 06'

W) along the northwestern

boundary of said Highway No. 1 distant one thousand seventy-six decimal twenty-six (1076.26)

feet;

Thence north thirty-seven degrees eleven minutes west (N 37° 11'

W) along the northeastern

boundary of lands now or formerly owned by Warner Deen distant seventeen decimal fifty-six

(17.56) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence north thirty-seven degrees eleven minutes west (N 37° 11'

W) along the northeastern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Warner Deen distant three hundred

ninety-three decimal forty-three (393.43) feet to a C.L.I.P. set on the mean high water mark of

St. Mary’s Bay;

Thence easterly, westerly, northerly and northeasterly along the mean high water mark of said

St. Mary’s Bay to a C.L.I.P. set on the most western corner of lands now or formerly owned by

C. Amero;

Thence south thirty-six degrees thirty-seven minutes east (S 36° 37'

E) along the southwestern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant four hundred ninety-three

decimal forty-eight (493.48) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence north fifty-five degrees one minute east (N 55° 01'

E) along the southeastern boundary

of said lands new or formerly owned by C. Amero distant two hundred ninety-three decimal

seventeen (293.17) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence north thirty-seven degrees two minutes west (N 37° 02'

W) along the northeastern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant four hundred one decimal

twenty-eight (1101.28) feet to a C.L.I.P.;

Thence north thirty-seven degrees two minutes west (N 37° 02'

W) along the northeastern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by C. Amero distant nine decimal twenty-four

(9.211) feet to the mean high water mark of said St. Mary’s Bay;

Thence northeasterly along the mean high water mark of said St. Mary’s Bay to a C.L.I.P. set

on the most western corner of said lands now or formerly owned by L. H. Wright;

Thence south thirty-six degrees fifty-nine minutes east (S 36° 59'

E) along the southwestern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by L. H. Wright distant seven hundred

twenty-six decimal zero (726.0) feet to the place of beginning.

The above bearings are astronomic.

The above lands containing an area of twenty-six decimal six (26.6) acres more or less.
