Statute: Public Highways Act Expropriation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works dated April 10, 2024, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and

Section 80 of

Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act , is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use sections of the public highway being a parcel of land associated with the construction of Pugwash Point Road, located at or near Pugwash Point Road, Pugwash, Cumberland County, more particularly described as Parcel B in

Schedule “A” and shown on

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the Minister of Public Works to transfer to His Majesty the King in right of Canada, as represented by Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the administration and control of Parcel B; and (

c) authorize the Minister of Public Works to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
