OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration dated June 10, 2025, and pursuant to
Section 3 of
Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act , is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Andrew MacFarlane of Halifax Regional Municipality and Martin MacPhee of Cape Breton Regional Municipality as employee representative members of the Labour Board, both for a term of three years commencing June 26, 2025; (
b) appoint Daniel Draper of Antigonish County and Paul Cormier of Lunenburg County as employer representative members of the Labour Board, both for a term of three years commencing June 26, 2025; (
c) reappoint Joseph “Kenneth” Chisholm, Paul Dubé, Carl Gannon and J. Gordon MacLean, all of Halifax Regional Municipality as employer representative members of the Labour Board, each for a term of three years commencing June 26, 2025; (
d) reappoint Leigh Davis and Eric Slone, both of Halifax Regional Municipality as vice-chairs of the Labour Board, both for a term of three years commencing August 30, 2025; (
e) order that the annual honorarium for Leigh Davis be fixed at $10,000, to be paid pro rata; (
f) order that the annual honorarium for Eric Slone be fixed at $15,000, to be paid pro rata; and (
g) fix the remuneration in the following aggregate amounts, payable to each vice-chair of the Labour Board: i. $300.00 per day for each day the vice-chair conducts a hearing as a vice-chair or participates in necessary training, ii. $150.00 per day for each day the vice-chair necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board as a vice-chair except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training, and iii. such actual and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the vice-chair in the discharge of duties, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
