I, Mary Polak, Minister of Environment, order that the Contaminated Sites Regulation,

B.C. Reg. 375/96, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix

Section 40 (2) (

c) of the Contaminated Sites Regulation, B.C. Reg. 375/96, is

repealed

Section 41 (3) (

e) is repealed.

Section 42 (1) (b) (

v) is repealed.

Section 47 (7) is amended by striking out “ , except for a hazardous waste treatment or disposal project under that regulation ”.

Section 58 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) (b) (iv) by striking out “ the standards in the Hazardous Waste Regulation and ”, and

(

b) in subsection (5) (d) (

i) by striking out “ standards in the Hazardous Waste Regulation and ”.

Section 59 is amended

(

a) in subsection (2) (

c) by striking out “ standards in the Hazardous Waste Regulation and ” and substituting “ the standards ”, and

(

b) in subsection (3) (c) (

i) by striking out “ standards in the Hazardous Waste Regulation and the criteria, standards and conditions prescribed and in this regulation ” and substituting “ the criteria, standards and conditions prescribed in this regulation ”.
