OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Police Review Board dated October 25, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) re-appoint Betty Thomas of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years, commencing on January 15, 2011; (

b) appoint Richard Evans of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years, commencing on January 15, 2011;\x0c (

c) fix remuneration for the members of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board to be $150 per meeting plus necessary expenses; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the members of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
