1988 BILL Third Session, 21st Legislature, 37 Elizabeth II THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ALBERTA BILL WATER RESOURCES COMMISSION AMENDMENT ACT, 1988 THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE First Reading Second Reading Committee of the Whole Third Reading Royal Assent Title: 1988 (21st, 3rd) Bill 58, Water Resources Commission Amendment Act, 1988 Bill BILL WATER RESOURCES COMMISSION AMENDMENT ACT, 1988 (Assented to , 1988) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Water Resources Commission Act is amended by this Act. 2 Section 3(1) is amended (

a) by repealing clause (

a) and substituting the following: (

a) such number of members of the Legislative Assembly as are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council; (

b) in clause (

f) by striking out “Research and Resource” and substituting “Planning and”. 1 Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter W-5.1 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1983. 2 Section 3(1) presently reads in part: 3(1) The Water Resources Commission shall consist of the following members: (a) 2 members of the Legislative Assembly appointed by the Lieuten ant Governor in Council; (

f) the Assistant Deputy Minister of Research and Resource Develop ment of the Department of Agriculture: 1 Explanatory Notes Title: 1988 (21st, 3rd) Bill 58, Water Resources Commission Amendment Act, 1988
