Section 158 of the Act is repealed and the fol ‐ lowing is substituted: 1(5) L’article 158 de la Loi est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 158(1) Despite

chapter O-1.5 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1985, is amended by adding after

section 24.02 the following: 2 La

Loi sur les véhicules hors route, chapi ‐ tre O-1.5 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 1985, est modifiée par l’adjonction de ce qui suit après l’arti ‐ cle 24.02 : Sale of impounded vehicle Vente d’un véhicule mis en fourrière 24.03(1) Despite

section 24.02, when within seven days after an off-road vehicle has been impounded under this Act, no person notifies the Registrar they are the registered owner of the vehicle, and the Registrar ascer ‐ tains that the vehicle has a market value not exceeding $1,000, the Registrar may, with the authorization of the Minister and subject to subsection (2), dispose of the ve ‐ hicle as the Registrar sees fit, including selling it for the best price possible in the circumstances. 24.03(1) Par dérogation à l’article 24.02, lorsque, dans les sept jours qui suivent la mise en fourrière d’un véhi ‐ cule hors route en application de la présente loi, per ‐ sonne n’en revendique la propriété à

24.03(4) If any person other than the registered owner claims to be the owner of the off-road vehicle or to have an interest in it by reason of a lien or otherwise, the Min ‐ ister, upon being notified of the claim or claims, shall pay over the balance of the proceeds of the sale, subject to subsection (3), to the Registrar of The Court of King’s Bench of New Brunswick, to be disposed of as a judge of the Court may by order direct. 24.03(4) Lorsqu’une personne autre que le propriétaire immatriculé du véhicule hors route en revendique la pro ‐ priété ou revendique des droits sur celui-ci, notamment en raison d’un privilège, le Ministre, après en avoir été avisé et sous réserve du paragraphe (3), verse le solde du produit de la vente au greffier de la Cour du Banc du Roi du Nouveau-Brunswick, pour qu’il en soit disposé comme un juge de cette cour le prescrira par ordon ‐ nance.
