Statute: Nova Scotia Museum Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated January 15, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 315 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Nova Scotia Museum Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Ken MacDonald of Port Morien, Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors for a term of three years commencing March 2, 2010; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Ken MacDonald and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment to the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
