OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 12, 2017, and pursuant to Sections 25IA and 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective January 12, 2017: (

a) appoint Melissa MacKinnon as Associate Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Communications Nova Scotia and Associate Deputy Minister of Communications Nova Scotia; (

b) designate Melissa MacKinnon as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

c) fix and determine the salary of Melissa Mackinnon to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and (

d) direct that Melissa MacKinnon shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of Associate Deputy Minister including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
