B.C. Reg. 164/2025 , deposited October 20, 2025, under the UTILITIES COMMISSION ACT [section 21.1]. Order in Council 463/2025, approved and ordered October 20, 2025.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Cryptocurrency Power Regulation, B.C. Reg. 163/2024, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 1 of the Cryptocurrency Power Regulation, B.C. Reg. 163/2024, is amended by repealing the definition of "paused project" and substituting the following:

"proposed project" means a new high-voltage cryptocurrency project that is the subject of one of the following agreements:

(

a) the system impact study agreement dated December 1, 2021;

(

b) the system impact study agreement dated January 28, 2022;

(

c) the system impact study agreement dated June 15, 2022;

(

d) the system impact study agreement dated June 20, 2022; .

Section 2 is amended

(

a) by striking out everything before paragraph (

a) and substituting " The authority must not do any of the following: ", and

(

b) in paragraph (b) (ii) by striking out " paused project " and substituting " proposed project ".
