Order in Council 1115/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1172/2022, dated August 25, 2022, Christopher Harkins was reappointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police for a period not to exceed three years, effective September 16, 2022,

And

whereas Christopher Harkins continued in office as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police under subsection 56(5) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019,

And

whereas it is desirable that Christopher Harkins be further reappointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police ,

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 56(1) of the Community Safety and Policing Act, 2019 , Christopher Harkins be further reappointed as a Deputy Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not to exceed three years effective from the later of September 16, 2025, and the date this Order in Council is made.
