Statute: Labour Board Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated January 10, 2013, and pursuant to Sections 3, 5 and 6 of

Chapter 37 of the Acts of 2010, the Labour Board Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Kathryn A. Raymond of Halifax Regional Municipality (Bedford) as a vice-chair of the Labour Board for a term of 3 years commencing February 1, 2013; (

b) appoint Eric K. Slone of Halifax Regional Municipality (Ferguson’s Cove) as a vice-chair of the Labour Board for a term of 3 years commencing February 1, 2013; and (

c) order that the remuneration for Kathryn A. Raymond and Eric K. Slone be fixed in the following aggregate amounts, payable to each for their service as a vice-chair of the Labour Board (

i) an annual $10,000 honorarium to be paid pro rata; (ii) $300.00 per day for each day the vice-chair conducts a hearing as a vice-chair or participates in necessary training; (iii) $150.00 per day for each day the vice-chair necessarily attends to the business of the Labour Board as a vice-chair except while conducting a hearing or participating in necessary training; (iv) reimbursement for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling their duties as vice-chairs, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
