OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated March 7, 2000, pursuant to Sections 6, 7 and 8 of
Chapter 49 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Business Development Corporation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Business Development Corporation, each for a term of office commencing March 7, 2000 and ending March 6, 2001: J. Leonard Sarsfield of Kentville, Kings County; Michael Black of Cornwallis, Annapolis County; and James Snell of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (
b) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Business Development Corporation, each for a term of office commencing March 7, 2000 and ending March 6, 2002: John Risley of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality; Myra Batalion of Musquodoboit Harbour, Halifax Regional Municipality; Yvonne Thyssen-Post of Truro, Colchester County; Barry E. Bartlett of Truro, Colchester County; and Ken G. Anderson of Port Hawkesbury, Inverness County; (
c) designate John Risley as Chair of the Board of Directors of Nova Scotia Business Development Corporation; (
d) approve the payment of remuneration in the amount of $200 for the Chair of the Board and $150 for each member of the Board for each day spent at Board meetings; and (
e) approve the payment of necessary and reasonable expenses the Board members incur.
