OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated January 22, 2015, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act ,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act ,

Section 7 of

Chapter 260 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Liquor Control Act , and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective February 1, 2015: (

a) revoke the appointment of Elizabeth Cody as Deputy Minister of Environment; (

b) revoke the appointment of Catherine Blewett as Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; (

c) revoke the appointment of Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury Board; (

d) revoke the appointment of Margaret MacDonald as the deputy minister appointed from time to time as a non-voting member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation; (

e) revoke the appointment of Frances Martin as Associate Deputy Minister of Health and Wellness and Associate Deputy Minister of Seniors; (

f) appoint Frances Martin as Deputy Minister of Environment; (

g) appoint Margaret MacDonald as Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; (

h) appoint George McLellan as Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury Board; (

i) appoint George McLellan as the deputy minister appointed from time to time as a non-voting member of the Board of Directors of the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation; (

j) designate Frances Martin, Margaret MacDonald and George McLellan as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; (

k) fix and determine the salary of France Martin, Margaret MacDonald and George McLellan to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Deputy Ministers; and (

l) direct that France Martin, Margaret MacDonald and George McLellan shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
