B.C. Reg. 237/2018 , deposited November 9, 2018, under the STRATA PROPERTY ACT [section 292], the EXPROPRIATION ACT [sections 27 and 54], the DRINKING WATER PROTECTION ACT [section 48] and the HEALTH AUTHORITIES ACT [sections 19 and 21]. Order in Council 599/2018, approved and ordered November 9, 2018.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective November 15, 2018,

(

a) the Bare Land Strata Regulations, B.C. Reg. 75/78, are amended as set out in the attached

Schedule 1,

(

b) subrule (1) of the Compensation Action Procedure Rule, B.C. Reg. 100/2005, is amended in the definition of “included claim” by repealing paragraph (c),

(

c) the Drinking Water Protection Regulation, B.C. Reg. 200/2003, is amended as set out in the attached

Schedule 2,

(

d) the Transfer of Union Board Powers and Duties Regulation, B.C. Reg. 32/97, is repealed, and

(

e) the Vancouver Health Board Regulation, B.C. Reg. 542/95, is repealed.

Schedule 1

Section 1 (1) of the Bare Land Strata Regulations, B.C. Reg. 75/78, is amended

(

a) in the definition of “code” by striking out “ and ” at the end of paragraph (

b) and by repealing paragraph (

c) and substituting the following:

(

c) regulations made under the Drinking Water Protection Act or the Public Health Act , and

(

d) regulations made under the Safety Standards Act with respect to electrical equipment, gas systems and gas equipment; , and

(

b) by repealing the

definitions of “medical health officer” and “potable water” and substituting the following:

“potable water” means water which is approved for drinking purposes by a drinking water officer within the meaning of the Drinking Water Protection Act ; .

Schedule 2

Section 13 of the Drinking Water Protection Regulation, B.C. Reg. 200/2003, is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

(1) In this section, “environmental health officer” has the same meaning as in the Public Health Act . , and

(

b) in subsection (2) (a) (ii) by striking out “ public health inspector ” and substituting “ environmental health officer ”.
