Statute: Solemnization of Marriage Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations dated May 24, 2007 and pursuant to

Section 14 of

Chapter 436 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Solemnization of Marriage Act, is pleased, effective June 7, 2007, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses: Alan Jazic, Customer Service Representative of Halifax Regional Municipality, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2007-22; Faye Briand, Customer Service Representative of Halifax Regional Municipality, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2006-364; Linda Carson of Yarmouth, which appointment was made by Order in Council 95-40; Shirley MacInnis of Port Hawkesbury, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2004-313; Linda Draper of Access Nova Scotia in Kentville, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2002-233; and (

b) appoint the following persons as Deputy Issuers of Marriage Licenses: Deborah Fox-MacDonald, of Access Nova Scotia in Sydney; and Lauretta Diggs, Customer Service Representative of Halifax Regional Municipality.
