OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated June 29, 2004, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of Katherine Carrigan of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Chief Appeal Commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal in respect of all matters pending or coming before the Tribunal effective July 4, 2004; (

b) continue the appointment of Katherine Carrigan as a full-time appeal commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal up to and including March 31, 2007, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

c) appoint Louanne Labelle as Acting Chief Appeal Commissioner of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal while the office of Chief Appeal Commissioner is vacant; (

d) fix the remuneration of Louanne Labelle as Acting Chief Appeal Commissioner with a salary range equivalent to the civil service Management Compensation Pay Plan (MCP 26(2)) in the range of $63,234.86 to $82,205.50, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Management Compensation Plan; and (

e) order the Civil Service benefits be extended to Louanne Labelle on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
