OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated June 16, 2004, and pursuant to the Public Service Act, the
Interpretation Act, the Public Service Superannuation Act, the Civil Service Act, and all other authority in Her vested, is pleased, effective June 21, 2004, to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Daniel Graham as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, which appointment was made pursuant to Order in Council 2003-542 dated December 19, 2003; (
b) revoke the appointment of Rosalind C. Penfound as Assistant Deputy Minister of Environment and Labour, which appointment was made pursuant to Order in Council 2004-49, dated January 30, 2004; (
c) appoint Daniel Graham as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries for a term to end August 31, 2004; (
d) appoint Rosalind C. Penfound as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries; (
e) designate Daniel Graham and Rosalind C. Penfound as deputy heads within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and the Public Service Act and direct that they shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan during the term of the appointments made by this Order; (
f) confirm Daniel Graham and Rosalind C. Penfound to be and to have been employees for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; and (
g) fix and determine the salaries of Daniel Graham and Rosalind C. Penfound, to be paid at such rate as may be determined by Treasury and Policy Board.
