OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated June 6, 2000, pursuant to
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, as amended, the Public Service Act, and to
Chapter 70 of the said Revised Statutes, as amended, the Civil Service Act, is pleased, effective July 1, 2000, to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Dr. Patricia Ripley as Acting Deputy Minister of the Petroleum Directorate, which appointment was made by Order in Council 1998-317 dated June 30, 1998; (
b) appoint Walter J. Tucker as Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Directorate; (
c) designate Walter J. Tucker as a Deputy Head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and direct that he receive all customary benefits associated with the position of Deputy Head; (
d) designate Walter J. Tucker, in respect of his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Directorate, to be an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act; and (
e) fix and determine the salary of Walter J. Tucker, in respect of his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Directorate, to be paid at such rate as may be determined by the Priorities and Planning Committee in accordance with the Management Compensation Plan approved from time to time by the Governor in Council.
