The Lieutenant Governor in Council orders that
(
a) effective July 1, 2010, the land described in Appendix A and shown on the
sketch in Appendix B is separated from the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10
and annexed to the Summer Village of Poplar Bay,
(
b) any taxes owing to the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10 at the end of June 30,
2010, in respect of the annexed land are transferred to and become payable
to the Summer Village of Poplar Bay together with any lawful penalties and
costs levied in respect of those taxes and the Summer Village of Poplar Bay
upon collecting those taxes, penalties and costs must pay them to the County
of Wetaskiwin No. 10, and
(
c) the assessor for the Summer Village of Poplar Bay must assess, for the
purpose of taxation in 2011 and subsequent years, the annexed land and the
assessable improvements to it,
and makes the Order in Appendix C.

APPENDIX C
ORDER
1 In this Order, "annexed land" means the land described in Appendix A and
shown on the sketch in Appendix B.
2 For taxation purposes in 2011 and subsequent years up to and including 2026, the
annexed land and assessable improvements to it
(
a) must be assessed by the Summer Village of Poplar Bay on the same basis as
if they had remained in the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10, and
(
b) must be taxed by the Summer Village of Poplar Bay in respect of each
assessment class that applies to the annexed land and the assessable
improvements to it using the municipal tax rate established by the Summer
Village of Poplar Bay.
3 Where in any taxation year, a portion of the annexed land becomes a new parcel
of land created as the result of subdivision or separation of title by registered plan of
subdivision or by instrument or any other method that occurs at the request of, or on
behalf of, the landowner,
section 2 ceases to apply at the end of that taxation year in
respect of that portion of the annexed land and the assessable improvements to it.
4 After
section 2 ceases to apply to a portion of the annexed land in a taxation
year, that portion of the annexed land and the assessable improvements to it must be
assessed and taxed for the purposes of property taxes in the following year in the
same manner as other property of the same assessment class in the Summer Village of
Poplar Bay is assessed and taxed.

3. Further give notice that the following provisions of
section 20, subsections
(11) and (12) of that Act now apply in case of sale or inheritance of the above
mentioned resource:
(11) the owner of an historic resource that is subject to an order under
subsection (1) shall, at least 30 days before any sale or other
disposition of the historic resource, serve notice of the proposed sale
or other disposition on the Minister,
(12) when a person inherits an historic resource that is subject to an
order under subsection (1), that person shall notify the Minister of
the inheritance within 15 days after the historic resource is
transferred to the person.

The land is being offered for sale on an "as is, where is" basis, and Vulcan County
makes no representation and gives no warranty whatsoever as to the adequacy of
services, soil conditions, land use districting, building and development conditions,
absence or presence of environmental contamination, vacant possession, or the
developability of the subject land for any intended use by the successful bidder.
No bid will be accepted where the bidder attempts to attach conditions precedent to
those specified by Vulcan County. No further information is available at the auction
regarding the lands to be sold.
Each parcel will be offered for sale, subject to a reserve bid and to the reservations
and conditions contained in the existing certificate of title. Vulcan County may, after
the public auction, become the owner of any parcel of land not sold at the public
auction.
