Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Deputy President of the Executive Council dated March 13, 2012, and pursuant to

Section 52 of

Chapter 1(1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act, and

Section 19 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to, effective March 30, 2012: (

a) appoint Cathleen C. O'Grady, Barrister, of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, a Legislative Counsel; (

b) determine the salary scale of Cathleen C. O'Grady to be at the Civil Service scale in force from time to time for Solicitors in the Department of Justice and determine the salary of Cathleen C. O'Grady to be at such class and level as is determined from time to time by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; and (

c) direct that Cathleen C. O'Grady, in carrying out her duties as Legislative Counsel, shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
