Statute: The Workers’ Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated April 14, 2025, and pursuant to Sections 238 and 239 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, The Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Richard Pace-Ola as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal for a term of office of two (2) years, effective May 10, 2025, subject to dismissal for just cause; (

b) fix the remuneration of Richard Pace-Ola as a full-time Appeal Commissioner in accordance with a salary range equivalent to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12) in the range of $88,892.96 - $122,228.86, subject to all applicable enactments, regulations and policies of the Public Service Commission with respect to the Excluded Classification Pay Plan (EC 12); and (

c) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Richard Pace-Ola as a full-time Appeal Commissioner of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
