OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated December 17, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, Sections 3, 4 and 5 of

Chapter 213 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Housing Nova Scotia Act and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective January 1, 2015: (

a) appoint Dan Troke as Associate Deputy Minister of Community Services; (

b) designate Dan Troke as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

c) approve the Minister of Community Services to delegate the administration of Housing Nova Scotia to Dan Troke who may be referred to as President and Chief Executive Officer of Housing Nova Scotia; (

d) fix and determine the salary of Dan Troke to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; (

e) direct that Dan Troke shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier; and (

f) revoke the approval for the Minister of Community Services to engage Kevin Malloy as President and Chief Executive Officer of Housing Nova Scotia.
