OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated February 5, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 78 of the Governor in Council Education Act Regulations, N.S. Reg. 74/97, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 97-405 dated June 24, 1997, made pursuant to

Section 146 of

Chapter 1 of the Acts of 1995-96, the Education Act, is pleased to, effective March 24, 2008: (

a) reappoint Isabel den Heyer of St. Joseph, Antigonish County, as the member of the Tuition Appeal Board for a term of three years; (

b) determine that the remuneration of Isabel den Heyer shall be at the rate of $350 for each appeal; (

c) determine that the reasonable travelling and living expenses incurred by Isabel den Heyer, in performing the duties associated with serving on the Tuition Appeal Board, be paid in accordance with the established guidelines approved for civil servants; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Isabel den Heyer and indemnify her from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
