Order in Council 53/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 230.3 (2) of the Education Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E.2 , as amended (the “Act”), control and charge over the administration of the affairs of the Peel District School Board was vested in the Ministry of Education effective June 22, 2020 by Order in Council O.C. 951/2020;

And

whereas pursuant to subsection 230.17 (1) of the Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall revoke an order made pursuant to subsection 230.3 (2) of the Act, if the Lieutenant Governor in Council is satisfied that the board is in compliance with the requirements specified under subsection 230.2 (2) of the Act;

Now therefore pursuant to subsection 230.17 (1) of the Act, Order in Council O.C. 951/2020 be revoked effective the day this Order in Council is made.
