OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated November 21, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 5 of

Chapter 425 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Sherbrooke Restoration Commission Act, is pleased to: (1) reappoint the following persons as members of the Sherbrooke Restoration Commission, each for a term of three years commencing December 16, 2008: (

a) Brenda Alexander of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County; (

b) Garry Wayne Giffin of Sherbrooke, Guysborough County; (

c) Michael McGinn of Aspen, Guysborough County; and (2) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Brenda Alexander, Garry Wayne Giffin, and Michael McGinn and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
