OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated July 12, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and subsection 10(1) of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased, effective July 24, 2023, to: (

a) appoint Gary O’Toole as the Associate Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia; (

b) fix and determine the salary of Gary O’Toole to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; (

c) designate Gary O’Toole as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; and (

d) direct that Gary O’Toole shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
