Order in Council 931/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1271/98, dated May 27, 1998,

Dr. James N. Edwards was appointed a Coroner for Ontario;

And

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 2214/2001 dated October 31, 2001, Dr. James N. Edwards was appointed as Regional Supervising Coroner for the Greater Toronto Area (East) Region of Ontario;

And

Whereas by O.C. 258/2008, dated March 6, 2008, Dr. James N. Edwards was appointed as Regional Supervising Coroner for that part of the Toronto Area (East) Region of Ontario comprised of the geographic area of Toronto as prescribed under the Territorial Division Act, 2002 : East of Yonge Street;

And

Whereas Dr. James N. Edwards retired and has, in writing effective April 20, 2018, resigned his appointment as Coroner and his appointment as Regional Supervising Coroner for the Toronto Area (East) Region of Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to subsections 3(1) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Order in Council numbered O.C. 1271/98, dated May 27, 1998 appointing Dr. James N. Edwards as a Coroner for Ontario is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council, and pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Coroners Act, Orders in Council numbered O.C. 2214/2001 appointing Dr. James N. Edwards as Regional Supervising Coroner for the Greater Toronto Area (East) Region and O.C. 258/2008, appointing Dr. James N. Edwards as Regional Supervising Coroner for the Toronto Area (East) Region are hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
