Order in Council 89/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council established the position of Special Advisor on the Long-Term Financial Sustainability of Laurentian University by Order in Council made under

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act ;

Therefore , pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006 :

The Special Advisor on the Long-Term Financial Sustainability of Laurentian University (the “Special Advisor”) shall be remunerated at the rate of $1,350 per diem for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of Special Advisor, provided that the total remuneration shall not exceed $100,000.

In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in his or her duties as the Special Advisor in accordance with the Travel, Meal, and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.
