OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated April 9, 1999, pursuant to subsection 3(1) of

Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Court Act, is pleased to appoint Judge Flora Buchan of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a Judge of the Provincial Court and the following shall be terms of her appointment: (

a) that she is specifically authorized to exercise the jurisdiction conferred upon a Judge of the Provincial Court by

Part XIX of the Criminal Code; (

b) that she shall continue to exercise the jurisdiction, powers and authority of a Judge of the Family Court for the Province of Nova Scotia while she holds the office of Judge of the Provincial Court; and (

c) that she shall receive no salary or per diem payments in respect of her exercise of the jurisdiction, powers and authority of a Judge of the Provincial Court, while receiving a salary as a Judge of the Family Court.
