Order in Council 200/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Government of Ontario has by Order in Council appointed an investigator under subsection 8(1) of the Public Hospitals Act , R.S.O. 1990,

Chapter P.40, as amended, to investigate and report on the governance and management of Stevenson Memorial Hospital and all related issues (the “Investigator”);

And

whereas the Order in Council provides that the Investigator shall be paid such remuneration and expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006 , S.O. 2006, c. 21 Sched. F:

The person appointed as Investigator shall be remunerated at the rate of $1500 per day, based on a 7.25 hour day.

The number of days for which the Investigator may be remunerated under this Order shall not exceed a total of 50 days.

The person appointed as Investigator shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses that are incurred while carrying out the duties of that position in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
