OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated February 11, 2015, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 22 of the Acts of 2000, the Agricultural Marshland-Conservation Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Bill Biggs of Wolfville, Kings County, as a member and Chair of the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Commission for a three (3) year term commencing March 3, 2015; (

b) determine that Bill Biggs be remunerated for his service as member and Chair in the amount of $125 per day and that he be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties as member and Chair, provided that any such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service; (

c) appoint Larry Hudson of Granville Ferry, Annapolis County, as a member of the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Commission for a three (3) year term commencing March 3, 2015; (

d) determine that Larry Hudson be remunerated for his service as member in the amount of $100 per day and that he be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling his duties as member, provided that any such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service; and (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Bill Biggs and Larry Hudson in their capacity as members of the Agricultural Marshland Conservation Commission and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
