Order in Council 330/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Government of Ontario is committed to addressing climate change and identifying and developing opportunities for Ontario to exercise climate leadership;

And

Whereas the position of Special Advisor for Climate Change, Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change was established by Order in Council O.C. 275/2018 dated February 21, 2018 to provide strategic advice and recommendations on climate change matters and issues;

And

Whereas it is desirable to appoint a Special Advisor for Climate Change, Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, to provide such advice and assistance on climate change matters and issues;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Appointment

John Godfrey, of the City of Toronto, is appointed for a further term as Special Advisor for Climate Change, Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, accountable to the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding one year, effective the date of this Order.
