B.C. Reg. 224/2024 , deposited July 15, 2024, under the LAND OWNER TRANSPARENCY ACT [section 97]. Order in Council 493/2024, approved and ordered July 15, 2024.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Land Owner Transparency Regulation, B.C. Reg. 250/2020, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 21.4 of the Land Owner Transparency Regulation, B.C. Reg. 250/2020, is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

(1) In this section, "director of civil forfeiture" has the same meaning as "director" under the Civil Forfeiture Act . , and

(

b) in subsection (2) by striking out " the director " and substituting " the director of civil forfeiture ".

2 The following sections are added:

Inspections and searches by director

under Residential Tenancy Act

21.5

(1) In this section, "director of residential tenancy" has the same meaning as "director" under the Residential Tenancy Act .

(2) For the purposes of

section 31 (3) [inspections and searches by enforcement officer and ministry officials] of the Act, the director of residential tenancy may inspect transparency records and search reported information for the purposes of the administration and enforcement of

Part 5.1 [Administrative Penalties] of the Residential Tenancy Act .

Inspections and searches by director under

Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act

21.6

(1) In this section, "director of manufactured home park tenancy" has the same meaning as "director" under the Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act .

(2) For the purposes of

section 31 (3) [inspections and searches by enforcement officer and ministry officials] of the Act, the director of manufactured home park tenancy may inspect transparency records and search reported information for the purposes of the administration and enforcement of

Part 6.1 [Administrative Penalties] of the Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act .
