OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated July 7, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 52 of
Chapter 1 (1992 Supplement) of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the House of Assembly Act , and
Section 19 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the
Interpretation Act , do, effective the 16 th day of August 2021: (
a) subject to clause (b), appoint Kilian Schlemmer, Barrister, of Halifax, in the Province of Nova Scotia, a Legislative Counsel; (
b) determine the appointment be for a probationary period and that the appointment be made permanent after one year of satisfactory service as is determined by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; (
c) determine the salary scale of Kilian Schlemmer to be at the Civil Service scale in force from time to time for Solicitors in the Department of Justice and determine the salary of Kilian Schlemmer to be at such class and level as is determined from time to time by the Chair of the House of Assembly Management Commission; and (
d) direct that Kilian Schlemmer, in carrying out the duties of the position shall be subject to the supervision, direction and control of the Chief Legislative Counsel.
