Order in Council 1794/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to

section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act, a French Language University Planning Board was established by O.C. 919/2016 for a period commencing June 8, 2016, and ending no later than March 31, 2017, which term was continued for a period from April 1, 2017 and ending no later than September 30, 2017 by O.C. 647/2017;

And

Whereas O.C. 919/2016 provided that the members of the French Language University Planning Board shall be appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council for terms ending no later than March 31, 2017, and that the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall designate one member as Chair of the Board, and O.C. 647/2017 provides that those terms of appointment may be continued for terms from April 1, 2017 and ending no later than September 30, 2017;

And

Whereas O.C. 1369/2016 established the remuneration and expenses of the Chair and members of the French Language University Planning Board for terms ending no later than March 31, 2017;

And

Whereas O.C. 648/2017 provided for further remuneration and expenses of the Chair and members of the French Language University Planning Board for terms ending no later than September 30, 2017;

Therefore:

O.C. 648/2017 is revoked.

The Chair shall be paid up to a maximum of $1200.00 for every full day he or she spends on the business of the Board from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, provided that the total remuneration for the term of the Chair’s appointment from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, shall not exceed $110,400.00;

Each Member other than the Chair who is a student shall be paid up to a maximum of $200.00 for every full day he or she spends on the business of the Board from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, provided that the total remuneration for the term of the Member’s appointment from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, shall not exceed $8,000.00;

Each Member other than the Chair who is not a student shall be paid up to a maximum of $500.00 for every full day he or she spends on the business of the Board from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, provided that the total remuneration for the term of the Member’s appointment from April 1, 2017, to September 30, 2017, shall not exceed $35,000.00;

The Chair and the Members other than the Chair shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of their duties in accordance with all relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board/Management Board of Cabinet.
